Getting Back To Normal
So this is my first attempt at sculpting again since breaking my finger. He’s a little maquette for a pirate sculpture and he’s about 11cm tall. I can’t use the scalpel yet as fluidly as I would like, the feeling and sensitivity in my fingers are not back to normal just yet so I still don’t have as much control and dexterity as I’d like but it’s coming back quickly. I’m happy with the progress so far though:

The Facebook page is back up now, just search on FB for Sher Christopher Paper Sculptor, and I’m glad to be back on Twitter too, so please, come and join us!

Busy squishing lemons….
You know the old saying ‘When life gives you lemons…’? Well, we seem to be getting them delivered by the cartload here at SherChristopher.com at the moment. First a bug on the computer that we think we picked up from a social media site and so we deactivated numerous accounts and almost wiped Sher from the cyber face of the planet while we sort out that little problem. Now Sher’s gone and thrown another spanner in the works. Did we mention she’s somewhat accident prone? Two years ago she broke her wrist, on her right side and yes, she’s right-handed. After a lengthy road to recovery she returned to her former sculpting glory. Well now, in the midst of numerous projects and commitments she’s broken her finger. On her right hand. Sher will be out of action for 8 weeks.

We’re keeping busy making room for more lemons. Someone pass the tequila…

Twisted Fairytales
The second of the ‘Twisted Fairytales’ paper sculptures is now up on the gallery page. This sculpture ‘Not So Snow White’ continues the theme set by Sher’s first sculpture in the series, ‘Red Riding Hood’, which embraces well-known fairy tales and gives them a fresh twist. ‘Not So Snow White’ gives the old-fashioned favourite a very different and very contemporary feel with a much darker interpretation.

Thanks for looking!
